Fire Girl

Captain Aaron from the MFD; he's also our neighbor.

Today at story time, Captain Aaron was in charge; he put on all of his gear (aka "outfit") and read a book about Curious George going to the fire station.
We also timed him to see how quickly he could get on all of his gear: 22 seconds.
Addison is proud of her hat and likes to try to make MacGregor wear it (yes, we still have Mac).

Picass-uh oh!

The rule at our house is that all art work must be done while sitting in the high chair; that way, we can keep all masterpieces confined to one area. While I was in the bathroom, Addie decided that the one area should be the WALL adjacent to her high chair. No matter how many times it happens, it's still a shot to the ego when I'm out-smarted by a 19 month old.  I would like to personally thank Crayola Washable crayons and Mr. Clean Magic Eraser!

Deere John,

Deere John,
Rumor has it that it's spring in WI; where is the proof? It's not outside; all we see is snow!! You must know; you're the King of the Lawn, Master of the Grass. You're second to the Robin on the list of "First Signs of Spring". Please help!
Love,
Addison

Sweet and Sour

Tonight we went to Buca's to celebrate Grandpa Taylor's 65th birthday.  Addie was in rare form tonight, putting on quite a show. She's NOT into eating much besides fruit snacks, Ritz Crackers, and string cheese; surprisingly, none of those things was available on Buca's menu.
She did, however, decide that a little lemon might be fun, and you can clearly see the result in the last photo. Despite the face, she kept coming back for more.  Since it was such a big hit, I let her share my lemon drop martini. Needless to say, she's sleeping well tonight. JUST KIDDING; we only let her drink beer.

One Potato, Two Potato, Three Potato......

Since it's too cold to go outside, Addie gets as close to the window as possible for some "faux" fresh air. The window is fairly drafty, so it's a pretty good alternative to the actual wild outdoors.
Who are you calling ugly?!
Today Addie and I spent some time dressing up her Mr. Potato heads, and this is our final result.
