Black and White vs. Black and Blue

Yesterday we went to the Taylors in Oconomowoc to enjoy the weather and the company of our cousins and great grandma! I decided to put these photos in black and white in order to masque Addie's black and blue forehead (see post titled Egg Head)

LONG Day

It was a LONG day for Addison and me today, a day filled with tantrums, drama, and a battle of the wills. This picture sums it up the best! Tomorrow is a new day.

This morning it was doorknob vs. forehead; the doorknob won. Although her face and shirt are the same color, she didn't let that ruin a good day of play and tormenting of the dog.

OH NO!!!!

We went to the zoo yesterday, since it was such a nice day. We thought we should take advantage of the train ride, the merry go round, and the petty zoo; at least two of the three went well. Addie was skeptical of the train at first, but by the end, she was waving to the spectators. The merry go round, on the other hand, was not so merry after all. Oddly enough, the goat food looked exactly like the goat droppings, so I wonder how often a goat recycles?

It's a beautiful spring day here today, so Addie, Mac, and I headed outside to enjoy the weather.

Can you spot all of the bruises on her forehead. Graceful she is NOT!

Before bed tonight, Addie decided the day wouldn't be complete without some coloring in her new sticker coloring book (thank you Grandma Taylor). Anyway, most of the stickers ended up on her face, which she was quite proud of.

Easter means an egg hunt, and although Addie didn't have to hunt too hard, it didn't diminish the joy she had when she found the eggs! It's nice to see that there is an age when candy found in an egg is more exciting than money found in an egg. The last photo shows her reaction to the chocolate hidden inside!

Popcorn

It was "Egg Day" at the zoo today, and although we didn't find any eggs, we sure did find some popcorn, oh and an elephant, too. 

Buddies

It was close to 60 here today, so Addie, her best buddy Sydney, Mac, and I took a walk to Alterra and then hung out in the back yard for a bit. Good times!

Afternoon Swinging

Addie woke up from her nap today and was a CRAB, to say the least. Everything was mud. We were finally able to break a smile after we bribed her with a gin and tonic, Nutter Butter cookies and a trip to the park.
