This past Saturday we trekked out to Madison's Farmers' Market on Capitol Square; it is the mother of all farmers' markets, is the oldest in the country and has strict rules: walk counter clockwise or risk a very public shunning.

a pony for your thoughts
If you are between the ages of 1 and 10 and have a spare $4 burning a hole in your pocket, you too, can ride a pony at the Milwaukee County Zoo. If you're Addie, you will not only ride the pony, but you will do it all by yourself, and when you're done you'll say, "Again! Again!"
Somehow I have a feeling we will be doing it again and again!

bikes and suckers
I'm pretty sure I won't be getting the Mother of the Year Award; isn't there a law somewhere that says, "Don't let children run with a sucker in their mouth!"........I'm pretty sure same would apply for bike riding. Oh, and apparently when you're done with your sucker, you put it in the fridge for later!
PS: Keep your hands off of my Key Lime pie, and for the record, I much prefer the term "lollipop", but I guess in the Midwest, "sucker" is the term of choice.

A good cause
We braved the elements on Saturday in support of the ABTA and Froedtert Hospital's brain tumor research. The event was a 5k walk and run. Our family walked, with the exception of Steve (unless you count our scurrying back to the car after cutting our portion short). I hope this event gets more publicity next year, oh and some better weather, too.

Yee ha!
It was a fun day at Thunderbit Stables, and although the miniature horses are more Addie's size, she wasted no time and went right for the big "yee ha", as she calls them. While watching Jodie and Emmit do the cavalettis, she said, "I do that." In the end, she didn't, but I hope one day she does!
A special thanks to Jodie and Emmit for letting us partake in your ride today; it really brightened our rainy day!

Paradise built
Addie got her own little piece of paradise in the backyard this past weekend. Her dad and grandpa spend a WHOLE day building this for her; what a lucky little girl! The only thing this park is missing is a tall nonfat, no foam, 3 Splenda, with whip, latte!
