spring in bloom

Spring is in full bloom here and we are taking advantage whenever we can. This tree (I don't know what it's truly called; I call it a tulip tree) was a treat for our senses today.....right after the treat we had at Yomama.

On the first Tuesday of every month, Addie and I go to story time (First Tuesdays at Ten). If you've not gone, you should. Ms. Molly reads to us and when she's done, the kids have the opportunity to read as well. Addie LOVES to read; I love to listen. She reads surprisingly well for someone who doesn't know how to read. She improvises, and in most cases, her version of the story is better. If you ask her nicely, she'll read to you, too.

Tandem

A couple of weeks ago we got a tandem bike to hook onto her dad's bike.
It's been been a delight for the whole family. Now we can all go for a bike ride to Yomama!

Eight years ago today we said "we do".

We've been up, we've been down, but most importantly, we've been together!

We celebrated on Saturday night with a nice dinner downtown at the Capital Grille followed by a (surprise) carriage ride! Wilson was our horse and he was one cool dude and smelled nice and horsey!
